Bluffton is a town of two personalities: a historic Old Town with galleries, riverfront dining, and live oaks along the May River, surrounded by a fast-growing ring of gated golf communities, new construction, and waterfront homes. It delivers small-town Lowcountry character with resort-style amenities just minutes away on Hilton Head Island.
Beaufort County School District. Bluffton High School and May River High School serve the town, with Bluffton Middle and H.E. McCracken Middle covering grades 6 to 8.
About 20 minutes to Hilton Head Island Airport (HHH), roughly 35 minutes to downtown Savannah, and about 40 to 45 minutes to Savannah/Hilton Head International (SAV).

World-class beaches, golf, and waterfront living on the island
Hilton Head Island is the Lowcountry's original resort town: 12 miles of beach, championship golf and tennis, and a network of bike paths that string together gated plantation communities, marinas, and dining. It feels like a resort and a neighborhood at the same time.
Beaufort County School District. Hilton Head Island High School and Hilton Head Island Middle School serve island families, joined by Hilton Head Island Elementary and the Hilton Head Island School for the Creative Arts.
Hilton Head Island Airport (HHH) sits on the island, about 10 minutes from most communities. Savannah/Hilton Head International (SAV) is roughly 45 to 60 minutes away.
Detached homes generally range from the $700s into the millions, with an island-wide detached median around $1.2 million in recent market reports. Condos and villas start lower, while oceanfront and deep-water properties command the top of the market.
